As a member of the Catering team at EDIT, you will be preparing high quality food and providing a great dining service to our residents to ensure a high quality of life.
About the Role:
- Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation, providing a quality dining service and assisting residents as required
- Supporting your peers and maintaining a co operative team spirit
- Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures
To be successful in this role you’ll need
- A heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential
- Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
- Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
- Fully COVID vaccinated
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
