  • Actively promoting and supporting Catholic Healthcare’s mission topromote the dignity, life,and spirituality of older people through connected and inclusive communities 

  • Maintaining the quality-of-serviceprovision to residents in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards 

  • Managing the financial performance of the home, through the careful management of resident occupancy levels, AN-ACC funding, purchases and expenditure, and team rostering andlabour costs in line with the master roster 

  • Facilitating the smooth entry of new residents into the home, supporting them orientate to their new surroundings within the first few days 

  • Supporting residents and their families during departures from the home, including liaising with family members and solicitors 

  • Liaising with external medical and allied health professionals to ensure changes in resident care needs are reported and reviewedEnsuring prescribed changes to clinical care are implemented effectively and evaluated on an ongoing basis 

  • Managing the delivery of high qualityclinical services, providing clinical leadership to the registered nursing and personal care teams 

  • Managing the delivery of mealservices, ensuring a wide variety of fresh, nutritious,and delicious meals are provided for our residents 

  • Supporting the leisure and lifestyle program, ensuring a variety of engaging programs are available to enrich the lives of aged care residents 

  • Supporting the pastoral care program to provide for the spiritual needs of residents 

  • Participating or leading internal meetings including regional meetings, resident, familyand friendsmeetings; clinical governance meetings; medical advisory commission meetings; etc 

  • Collaborating with residents and their families to ensure high levelsof satisfaction, proactively resolving issues, and facilitatingcase conferences where required 

  • Driving a resident-centric approach through all business activities to ensure the delivery of Catholic Healthcare’s service standardsActively seeking resident feedback with a view to continuous improvement 

  • Supporting the creation of community, creating linkages between aged care residents and retirement living, opportunities for joint activities, volunteering, shared team resources, etc

  • Maintaining a safe working environment (including fire, medical, emergency and security) through risk management and consultation consistent with legislative and policy requirements 

  • Ensuring compliance with all Catholic Healthcare policies and procedures and Aged Care legislative requirements, including audits, food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness 

  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues, and residents.   

  • Closely following all safety policies and procedures, being vigilant for risk and promptly reporting all hazards 

  • In the case of incidents or complaints, undertaking root cause analysis to determinethe appropriate action, including communicating with key stakeholders and recommending improvements 

  • Leading advocacy for resident care and safety through continuous improvement, safety committees, and onsite meetings  

  • Proactively maintainingan awareness and understanding of all Catholic Healthcare policies and procedures
